Ducati celebrates 100 years of excellence with iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed Tribute

  • Ducati legends and current champions unite at Goodwood House as the world celebrates a century of racing, design and passion

Goodwood, UK, 9th July 2026 – Ducati marked a historic milestone at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard as the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer celebrated 100 years of innovation, passion and unmistakable italian design.

Under the centenary theme “A Century made of seconds”, Ducati brought together generations of riders, fans and enthusiasts for a memorable celebration of the brand’s extraordinary journey – from its origins in Bologna in 1926 to its position today as one of the most recognisable names in global motorcycling.

The highlight of the celebration was a special Goodwood House Balcony Moment on Thursday 9 July, where some of Ducati’s greatest racing heroes gathered alongside current Ducati competitors to celebrate the brand’s legendary sporting heritage.

The historic occasion featured racing icons including Carl Fogarty, Casey Stoner, Troy Bayliss, Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne, Josh Brookes and Dario Marchetti.

In collaboration with WorldSBK and straight from Donington Park where the SBK Championship will take place this weekend, current Ducati Superbike stars such as Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), Alvaro Bautista, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Tommy Bridewell and Tarran Mackenzie also joined the Ducati Balcony moment for the red celebration, creating a unique gathering of talent spanning generations of Ducati competition.

Carl Fogarty“It’s fantastic to be involved in the 100-year celebrations with Ducati. I am proud to have been part of its amazing history, and it part of mine with four World Super Bike Titles in a Ducati saddle, with, in my opinion, the most iconic bike its ever built, the 916. Balcony moments are always special. Crowds are always fantastic and it’s amazing to celebrate with the Ducati family. It’s been a very emotional day. I had one last year to celebrate Foggy day and it’s great to be back for second.

Troy Bayliss: “Goodwood Festival of Speed is a world class event, and being on the balcony is really special feeling. It’s just so cool to hang out with legends from the past and present, and also amazing machinery to celebrate a century of excellence. I get to ride my 1998 GSE Ducati 996 once again, which feels really nostalgic – I feel at home in that seat. Ducati gave me the chance to represent Australia globally and win three world championships.”

The Centenary celebration at Goodwood also welcomed the exclusive Ducati Collezione 100, a collection of limited-edition motorcycles created to honour the brand’s most iconic moments. Featuring 10 numbered liveries, each limited to 100 units worldwide, the collection pays tribute to Ducati’s racing victories, legendary bikes and the stories that have shaped generations of Ducatisti. The Collezione 100 was unveiled during Mugello Moto GP in May.

Displayed at Goodwood, among other models, the Collezione 100 celebrated also the British heritage with the Panigale V4 S 100, inspired by the graphics of the Ducati that won the first edition of the 200 Miglia di Imola in 1972 with Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari.

The Festival of Speed celebration provided fans with a unique opportunity to experience Ducati’s history first-hand, with motorcycles representing a century of passion, performance and innovation on display throughout the event.

Patrizia Cianetti, Ducati Motor Holding Global Marketing & Communication Director, said:
“Celebrating 100 years of Ducati at Goodwood Festival of Speed was an incredibly special moment for the entire Ducati family. This celebration brought together our past, present and future – from the riders who created our racing legacy to the fans who continue to share our passion around the world. Ducati has always been about more than motorcycles. It is about emotion, performance, design and the people who make this story possible. The Goodwood celebration honoured everything that has made Ducati unique for a century, while looking ahead to the next 100 years.”

Gregorio Lavilla, WorldSBK Executive Director, added:
“Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world’s great celebrations of motorsport, so it was a fantastic opportunity for WorldSBK to help bring some of our riders to be part of Ducati’s centenary celebrations. Moments like these allow fans to connect with the stars of our championship away from the racetrack while showcasing the passion, heritage and personalities that make WorldSBK so special. With the championship heading to Donington Park this weekend, it also provides a perfect opportunity to build excitement for the racing ahead.”
