The Ducati Lenovo Team completes the final Sprint of the season at Valencia: Francesco Bagnaia fourteenth, Nicolò Bulega sixteenth

Alex Márquez takes the Sprint win in dominant fashion with the Ducati of the Gresini Racing Team. Fabio Di Giannantonio rounds out the podium in third with the Ducati of the VR46 Racing Team

The Ducati Lenovo Team took part in the twenty-second Sprint of 2025, in what is the season finale at Valencia’s “Circuito Ricardo Tormo”. Francesco Bagnaia was fourteenth at the flag, while Nicolò Bulega finished the encounter in sixteenth place.

After an encouraging second place in FP2, Bagnaia’s Q1 performance was affected by an inconvenience as he ultimately qualified sixteenth. In the Sprint, Pecco moved up to thirteenth position in the early laps before finishing fourteenth at the line. Nicolò Bulega – from twenty-second on the grid – made his way up to sixteenth place, keeping a consistent pace aboard his Desmosedici GP machine.

The Ducati Lenovo Team will resume proceedings tomorrow morning at 9:40 local time (GMT +1) for the warm up, followed by the 27-lap Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, starting at 14:00.

Francesco Bagnaia (#63 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 14th
“This morning, our performance improved and the feeling increased lap after lap. I was doing well during my second time attack of Q1, but then we ran out of fuel. These things can happen, as we all make mistakes. Starting from sixteenth position at this track is challenging. But if we look at the race pace, it was in line with Fabio’s (Quartararo), who finished seventh. It’s difficult to think of a different result if you’re not that much quicker than the guys in front of you.”

Nicolò Bulega (#11 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 16th
“The Sprint wasn’t too bad. I started from the back of the grid and struggled at the beginning with fresh tyres – something that affected me especially in qualifying, as I hardly feel any difference in terms of grip. I rode better in the Sprint and also managed to complete some overtakes in the early laps. There are several areas in which we can improve, but I need to keep spending time on the bike and gaining experience. Surely, the most important aspect is braking, in order to be able to push harder with the front-end. We will continue in this direction tomorrow.”
