Ducati confirms its willingness to dialogue with the world of art and its growing commitment into this universe through two initiatives included in the context of “Bologna Art Week 2025”: the renewed partnership with Arte Fiera and the active participation in the exhibition “Dall’origine al destino” (From origin to destiny), curated by Fondazione Golinelli.
The collaboration with Arte Fiera, which began last year, was confirmed as a success also in this 2025 edition. The Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer was a protagonist of the modern and contemporary art fair by once again supporting “Percorso”, the itinerary that connects a selection of galleries in the Main Section of Arte Fiera according to a common criterion, identified this year with the theme: “Community: not me, but us”.
The support for “Percorso” materialized in the assignment of the “Officina Arte Ducati” award to the work of art “There is so much we can learn from the sun” by the Italian artist Marinella Senatore. Senatore’s collage on paper was found to be the most convincing work according to the jury composed of Andrea Bruciati, art historian and director of Villa Adriana and Villa D’Este in Tivoli, Valentina Rossi, art historian and curator, and Stefano Tarabusi, Design Manager of Ducati. The reasons for the choice, beyond the formal quality and the important artistic path of Senatore, refer to the perfect alignment of the work with the theme of “Percorso”. The collective and participatory dimension, both in terms of methodology and content, of Senatore’s work is particularly akin to Ducati, both as a principle guiding its daily activities and strategic choices, and in terms of the community of supporters of the brand.
The work will now become part of the Borgo Panigale collection, supported by Fondazione Ducati. Through its involvement with Arte Fiera, the Foundation confirms its role as an entity committed to cultural, educational and social projects.
During the same days as Arte Fiera, Ducati also played a leading role in another initiative with a strong cultural impact, with its participation in the exhibition “Dall’origine al destino”, curated by the Fondazione Golinelli and scheduled to be held at the Golinelli Arts and Sciences Centre in Bologna until 30 June 2025. The motorcycle company is part of this exhibition of research between art, science and technology, where the leitmotif is the speed of technical evolution. In this context, Ducati is exhibiting a Panigale V4 S and its mechanical base: two design objects capable of generating emotions, alongside works by some of the most important names in twentieth-century Italian and international art.
Patrizia Cianetti, Marketing & Communications Director Ducati Motor Holding, declared: “Our corporate mission is to enrich people’s lives with memorable experiences created around motorcycles that are a magical combination of technology and beauty. Design, to be understood as art applied to the shapes of motorcycles, is a direct line that connects us to the world of art through the ability to generate emotion. We are happy to have supported these two initiatives with strong social and cultural value, which have their roots in the city of Bologna, and which, thanks to the universal language of emotions, can speak to the whole world”.
